Red Bull Winter Edition Pistachio & Berries: The Weirdest Flavor of the Year

Pistachio. And berries. In an energy drink. Red Bull's 2026 Winter Edition launched today, October 26, nationwide — and yes, it comes in a sugar-free version from day one, which is the only reason we're talking about it here. The can is a distinctive pistachio green, the flavor is officially "subtle pistachio with hints of caramel, complemented by a bright blend of berries" and the whole thing is available for a limited time, while supplies last.
What You Actually Need to Know
No nuts in it. Red Bull confirms the pistachio taste is artificially flavored — the drink contains no actual nuts. Nut-allergy readers can relax; pistachio skeptics can still be skeptical.
Same Red Bull underneath. The formulation mirrors standard Red Bull Energy Drink, including 80 mg of caffeine per 8.4 fl oz can — roughly a home-brewed cup of coffee. If
regular Red Bull's caffeine is your ceiling, this is the same ceiling in a weirder can.
Formats. 8.4 fl oz and 12 fl oz individual cans, plus 12 fl oz 4-packs, at retailers nationwide. It's also inside the Red Bull Advent Calendar, the 24-can assortment at select retailers — which is either a great gift for an energy drink fan or a countdown to a very jittery December.
Sugar-free from day one. Both formats launched together, with and without sugar. That's not a given in seasonal launches — the sugar-free version often trails by weeks. This time it's on the shelf now, in the same green can.
The Dad Verdict (Before the Taste Test)
Pistachio and berry sounds like a dare, but the flavor description is doing something smart: pistachio reads creamy and nutty, caramel adds warmth, and berry keeps it from turning into dessert. It's the same playbook as last year's winter flavors — familiar energy drink, unfamiliar top note. I'm grabbing the sugar-free can this week for a proper taste test, and I'll report back on whether the pistachio is real or just green. If you try it first, tell me: does it taste like pistachio, or does it taste like the idea of pistachio?
